October 21st, 2008 – October 28th, 2008
10-21-08 / 8:32 AM / RP called LEC to report a dog in a tree. Officer arrived on scene and found that a dog had his paw struck in the tree. The dog was let loose and returned to his owner. 10-21-08 / 3:06 PM / Officer dispatched to the Oklahoma for prank phone calls. Officer arrived on scene. RP advised that unknown person was calling and hanging up. Just to let the person(s) know, we’re on to you! 10-21-08 / 7:54 PM / 911 call. Morton County EMS was paged to the 100 block of Oklahoma for a male patient with a nose bleed. Morton County EMS arrived on scene and transported the male patient to the Morton County Hospital. 10-22-08 / 12:44 AM / Truck driver called in an electrical fire on County Road P approximately 5 (five) miles. Officer was in the area and was unable to find the fire in question. 10-22-08 / 12:49 PM / Texas County Sheriff’s Office called LEC and reported a possible drunk driver traveling north on Highway 95 toward Elkhart. Officer waited on the vehicle in question and was unable to find the vehicle. 10-22-08 / 6:32 PM / Officer dispatched to Moore’s Food Pride for a dog complaint. Officer arrived on scene and found the dog in question. The dog was transported to the Elkhart Animal Shelter. 10-23-08 / 9:39 AM / Local girl contacted Elkhart Police Sergeant Loren Coen reference making a donation to the Elkhart Animal Shelter. $69.23 was donated by Shaylyn Hanes to the Elkhart Animal Shelter. Thank you Shaylyn! 10-23-08 / 8:43 PM / Officer dispatched to the 400 block of Kansas for a vehicle unlock. Officer arrived on scene. Vehicle was unlocked. 10-23-08 / 7:26 PM / RP requested an Officer for a vehicle unlock in the 400 block of Southwest. Officer arrived on scene. The vehicle was unlocked. 10-24-08 / 11:16 AM / Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Seward for a dog complaint. Officer arrived on scene. The dog was transported to the Elkhart Animal Shelter. 10-24-08 / 12:36 PM / Officer dispatched to County Road L for an accident. Officer arrived on scene. Officer found that 2 (two) vehicles collided at the intersection. All occupants were not hurt. An accident case has been files. 10-24-08 / 7:08 PM / Luis Morales was arrested on a Morton County Warrant. Morales was transported to the Morton County Jail. Morales is charged with failure to appear. No bond has been set at this time. 10-24-08 / 9:45 PM / Officer dispatched to the Elkhart High School for a vehicle unlock. Officer arrived on scene. Officer found that the RP, lets call him “Tom” would be the same “Tom” that called 911 from Anadarko. The vehicle was unlocked. 10-25-08 / 2:44 AM / RP requested an Officer to the El Rancho Motel for a vehicle unlock. The RP advised that the vehicle owner’s dog locked the door. 10-25-08 / 2:34 PM / RP called LEC about 4-wheelers racing all over town in Rolla. Officer arrived on scene and was not able to find the 4-wheelers in question. 10-25-08 / 10:43 PM / Domingo Aranda was arrested and transported to the Morton County Jail. Aranda was arrested on a Morton County Warrant. Aranda is charged with is charged with unlawful buying of pseudophedrine. Aranda is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs. Bond has been set at $55,000.00 cash / surety. 10-25-08 / 11:09 PM / Officers dispatched to the Elkhart Motel for a possible fight. Officers arrived on scene. Officer found that several males’ subjects were yelling over a college football game. Everything was okay. 10-26-08 / 1:09 AM / RP called LEC reference kids in the swimming pool park. Officer arrived on scene and found a guy and girls were talking. 10-26-08 / 9:58 AM / Officer dispatched to U.S. Highway and North Street Road for 3 (three) dogs. Officer arrived on scene. 2 (two) out of 3 (three) dogs were taken to the Elkhart Animal Shelter. 10-26-08 / 3:16 PM / RP called LEC for a civil stand-by at her ex-boyfriends house. Officer arrived on scene. Everything went civil. 10-27-08 / 1:38 PM / 911 call. RP called 911 references a female subject having a seizure. This 911 call came from Moscow, KS. LEC contacted Stevens County Sheriff’s Office. 10-27-08 / 4:07 PM / Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of North Stanton for a dog complaint. Officer arrived on scene and found a dog that had injured his back leg. The dog was transported to the Elkhart Animal Shelter. 10-27-08 / 11:00 PM / Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 56 for a dog complaint. Officer arrived on scene and found that a female dog was in season and a male dog was causing problems. 10-28-08 / 4:42 AM / Officer dispatched to the 600 block of Stillman for a juvenile male taking off to see his girlfriend. Officers arrived on scene. Officer found the juvenile male and returned him home. Currently in Morton County Jail: Kathlena Fink Bond Rowe Juan Garcia JR.
