The IWA Project Innovation Awards & The IWA Project Innovation Awards - Development
(4-7 March 2013, San Francisco, California, USA)
The Project Innovation Awards (PIA) is a prestigious global competition which recognises and celebrates innovation and excellence in water engineering projects around the world in six different project categories – applied research, planning, design, operations/management, small projects and marketing and communications.
Established in 2006, the programme runs on a two-year cycle with the Regional Awards presented in regional forums, and the Global Awards being delivered at the biennial IWA World Water Congress.
The 2012 Project Innovation Awards, the fourth edition of this prestigious global water engineering awards programme, will kick off with the opening of submissions for the Europe and West Asia Regional PIA in April 2011.
This year, IWA is collaborating with the European Water Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform (WssTP) and AQUEAU on the 2012 IWA PIA Europe and West Asia Regional Awards competition. The Awards will be presented at the joint IWA, WssTP and ACQUEAU Awards night, during the Water Innovation Europe event.
Project Innovations Awards — Development (PIA-D) aims to celebrate excellence and innovation in water and sanitation projects in low and middle income countries.
Following reflection on the geographical scope of the original Project Innovation Awards, PIA-D programmed was launched in 2011 specifically for low and middle income countries. The biennial awards ceremony took place at the 2nd IWA Development Congress in Malaysia in November 2011.
The 2013 PIA-D opens for project submission in January 2013. The global awards will be held at the 3rd IWA Development Congress in Nairobi, Kenya, 14 - 17 Oct 2013. 5TH ASIA PACIFIC CONGRESS ON COMPUTATIONAL MECHANICS & 4TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON COMPUTATIONAL MECHANICS
APCOM2013 is a triennial conference of the Asia-Pacific Association for Computational Mechanics
(APACM) and the ISCM 2013 a biannual conference of the International Chinese Association for Computational Mechanics (ICACM). In 2013, these two bodies celebrate their events together in Singapore, and warmly welcome all participants!
APCOM2013 and ISCM 2013 aim to provide an international platform for
exchanging ideas on all areas related to computational mechanics celebrating achievements and recent advances
renewing and establishing friendship in the academics, with industry, and various research institutions
promoting advanced research, development and applications

The discovery of ribonucleic acid interference has sparked a wave of enthusiasm in the scientific community. Since the discovery of RNA interference scientists have used it to identify the molecular processes of different diseases. RNA interference has the potential to be used in a wide range of applications one of which is cancer therapies. The unique key to RNA interference as it does have an
