See product insert and packaging for additional information. Acute Toxicity Propylene Glycol: Oral LD50 (rat) 22,000 mg/kg Ethyl Alcohol: Oral LD50 (rat) 7060 mg/kg Triamcinolone Acetonide: Oral LD50 (Rat) 5000 mg/kg Dermal LD50 (rabbit ) >402mg/kg DMDM Hydantoin: Oral LD50 (rats) 2000-5000 mg/kg Specific Target Organ Systemic Toxicity (single and repeat) Propylene Glycol: In animal studies propylene glycol has been shown to cause kidney damage. Ethyl Alcohol: Chronic exposure can result in adverse liver, heart and central nervous system effects. Triamcinolone Acetonide: May cause adverse effects to the endocrine system (Cushing’s syndrome). Triamcinolone acetonide is a highly potent synthetic glucocorticoid, which is primarily effective because of its anti-inflammatory activity. Topical corticosteroids can be absorbed from normal intact skin. Studies have demonstrated that topical preparations of triamcinolone have decreased plasma cortisol levels and suppressed the response to ACTH. Serious Eye damage/Eye Irritation Propylene Glycol: Mild eye irritation (rabbit) Ethyl alcohol: Causes severe eye irritation. Triamcinolone Acetonide: Eye irritation – mild (rabbit) Skin Corrosion/Irritation Propylene Glycol: Mild skin irritation (human, 7d) Triamcinolone Acetonide: Skin irritation – negative (rabbit) DMDM Hydantoin: Caused minimal transient irritation in laboratory studies on albino rabbits. Respiratory or Skin Sensitization No relevant studies identified. Carcinogenicity Not considered carcinogenic by NTP, IARC, and OSHA. Germ Cell Mutagenicity Triamcinolone Acetonide: Laboratory experiments have shown mutagenic effects. DMDM Hydantoin: Both positive and negative mutagenicity results in laboratory studies. Toxicity to Reproduction Ethyl Alcohol: Ingestion of ethyl alcohol during pregnancy has caused adverse reproductive effects (fetal alcohol syndrome) but only at doses that are maternally toxic. Triamcinolone Acetonide: May cause congenital malformation in the fetus. Presumed human reproductive toxicant. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Mobility No relevant studies identified. Persistence/Degradability No relevant studies identified. Bio-accumulation No relevant studies identified. Ecotoxicity Propylene Glycol: EC50 Daphnia magna > 10,000 mg/l 48 h DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
